20th CENTURY Popular Christmas Songs
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen.

You know Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,

But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it You could even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.  They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,  Santa came to say:  Rudolph with your nose so bright won't you guide my sleigh tonight?  Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee:  Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, you'll go down in history.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know.  Where the tree tops glisten and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow.  I'm dreaming of a White Christmas with every Christmas card I write:  May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white.

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas, let your heart be light FROM now on our troubles will be out of sight.

Have yourself a Merry litttle Christmas, make the yuletide gay FROM now on our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days HAPPY golden days of yore.

Faithful friends who are dear to us, GATHER near to us once more.

Through the years, we all will be together if the fates allow hang a shinning STAR upon the highest bough And have yourself a Merry little Christmas NOW!
