By Myself

I'll go my way by myself.  Here's how this comedy ends.  I have to deny myself: love, laughter and friends.  Grey clouds in the sky above try to block all my fun.  I'll have to fly high above to find my place in the sun.  I'll face the unknown.  I'll build a world of my own.  No one knows better than I myself...I am by myself ...alone.   I'll go my way by myself.  This is the end of romance.  I'll  go my way by myself, love is only a dance.  I'll have to apply myself.  I'll teach my heart how to sing.  I'll go my way by a bird on its wing.  I'll face the unknown.  I'll build a world of my own.  No one knows better than I myself, I am by myself alone.  Solo.

Me and My Shadow

When the sun sets on the far horizon and the parlor lamps begin to dim, Jim and Jack and John put their slippers on, they're all set but we're still on the lonely.  Shades of night are falling and I'm lonely...standing on the corner feeling blue...Sweet hearts out for fun.  Pass me one by one...Guess I'll end up like I always do...with only:  Me and my shadow strolling down the avenue.  Me and my shadow not a soul to tell our troubles to and when it's twelve o'clock we climb the stair...we never knock..for nobody's there just me and my shadow...all alone and feeling blue.

If Love Were All

I believe in doing what I can, crying when I must ...laughing when I chose...HI HO..if love were all, I'd be so lonely.  I believe the more you love a man, the more you give your trust the more you're bound to lose...Although, when shadows fall, I wish that only somebody really splendid needed me,  someone affectionate and dear.  Cares would be ended if I knew that he wanted to have me near.  But I believe that since the day I was born I've had nothing better than a talent to amuse,  HI HO if love were all.
